 Temporary home for the  sign during scraping and painting. Kinda looks good there...

Hopefully they will get this side done by fall....

A good weekend up-north.Colors were not as spectacular as recent years just OK !
OktoberFest at Loon was more crowded than past years traffic on 93 was pretty steady. The only downfall was there was no Patriots game on Sunday to watch as it was bye week. Will add more later. JP

Aftermath of 12" of wet heavy snow

It started snowing around noon on Friday and came down pretty good most of the day. The power went off and on about a dozen times until 9:30pm then it was off until 11:00 am Sat when PSNH showed up to reattach the wires to the house which were ripped off by the falling pine branches in the front of the house. Cable was back around 3pm so we could enjoy the new 42" HDTV on the SLOPES.

CONCLUSION OF A WEEK "ABOVE THE NOTCH" AT THE LINCOLN COTTAGE. NEW YEARS DAY 2009 HIGH TEMP WAS "0" STANDING IN FRONT OF THE FIREPLACE WAS THE ONLY WAY TO STAY WARM or NAP ON THE SLOPES UNDER SEVERAL BLANKETS.DID MAKE IT TO LLOYD'S FOR DINNER COLD RIDE DOWN AND BACK !!IT WAS A WEATHER EVENT WEEK EITHER RAIN,SNOW,SLEET or FREEZING COLD TAKE YOUR PICK.SKIING WAS GOOD BUT THEY NEED A "BIG DUMP" TO BRING IT BACK TO EXCELLENT CONDITIONS.WE'LL KEEP YOU POSTED NEXT TRIP SUPER BOWL WEEKEND 2 for 1 AT CANNON FEB 1st !! GAME FOLLOWING AT NORM'S.SEE YOU THERE.
